What is a sales agent?

RERA has introduced a new licensing category called sales agents. A sales agent is employed or contracted by a broker to bring buyers and sellers together under the guidance of the broker. The broker is ultimately responsible for the sales agents work. All real estate sales agents (employees and self-employed contractors) must be affiliated to a registered real estate broker and must hold a RERA sales agent license in order to trade in the Bahrain real estate sector.
